Films nominated for Israeli Oscars to get special screenings
Israeli Academy of Film and Tel Aviv Cinematheque join forces to show most-nominated feature films

The Israeli Academy of Film and Television and Tel Aviv Cinematheque will screen the competing films for best feature at the September 10 Ophir Awards the week prior to the awards ceremony.
A different film will be screened each night September 3-7 at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, some in the presence of the directors and creators, and all as part of the effort to publicize these films that haven’t yet been in local theaters.
The week of screenings begins with “Running on Sand” with nominations in four categories (Sunday, September 3), followed by “Seven Blessings,” nominated in 12 categories (Monday, September 4).
Tuesday, September 5 brings the black comedy “The Other Widow,” nominated in nine categories, and “Home,” with nominations in nine categories, will be screened on Wednesday, September 6.
Finally, “The Vanishing Soldier,” nominated in 11 categories, will be screened on Thursday, September 7.
